FILE 01 · OUR STORY

Built by engineers who’ve seen the problem firsthand

Rendr started after delivering a custom system for a mine site leadership team who needed clear operational visibility without the cost, delay or complexity of heavyweight enterprise software.

The team was drowning in spreadsheets and disjointed tools. Decisions were slow. Data was unreliable. Nobody fully trusted the numbers they were looking at.

We fixed it and realised the same problem exists everywhere. Not just on mine sites. In workshops, service businesses, logistics companies and local operators right across Central Queensland: businesses running on tools that were never built for them.

That’s what Rendr is built around: practical, reliable software that fits how your business actually works.

Direct, practical collaboration

You work directly with the engineers responsible for the result. We learn how the operation works, turn that understanding into a clear plan and stay involved from the first brief through ongoing support.

Designed around real decisions and real workflows, not around what’s easiest for us to build or what a generic system assumes you need.

Being straight about cost and scope

One clear rate: $160 an hour, ex GST, with a practical estimate and agreed priorities before delivery begins.

Staying involved after launch

Your business changes, and your software should too. You own the code and data; we keep the system running and improve it as the operation evolves.

FILE 03 · THE TEAM

You deal directly with the people building your software

Every client works directly with one of us as their lead, with both principals involved where the work needs it. Nothing goes live until the other has reviewed it. Jason leads product and delivery, shaping requirements into a clear, prioritised plan. Ben leads engineering, with final say on architecture, security and data-sensitive decisions.

Jason Sandeman

Co-founder · Product & delivery · Emerald

Jason grew up in Emerald and started Rendr after working as an electrician and then a software engineer building web applications and data platforms.

That path from industrial work and regional business operations to software architecture shapes how Rendr approaches every project. The systems we scope and build reflect how work actually happens on the ground, not just how it looks on a diagram.

Today Jason leads delivery and client relationships across Queensland and beyond. He is the first call when you have a problem and the person keeping the work on track from first conversation to handover and support.

Ben Hooper

Co-founder · Principal engineer · Brisbane

Ben is a Brisbane-based engineer originally from Emerald, with experience across full-stack web development and distributed computer systems.

Before Rendr, Ben worked as a Senior Blockchain Engineer at Labrys, and as a developer at Auxita and Data#3, building production systems in TypeScript and high-reliability backends. At Rendr, Ben leads engineering, from API design and data pipelines through to production dashboards and observability.

A lot of our systems sit close to safety data, operational compliance or financial reporting, which means security and reliability have to be built in from the start, not added at the end.

We publish our rate

Our rate of $160 an hour, ex GST, is public. Every project is scoped on time and materials with an estimate before work begins.
